Philadelphia's Comprehensive Plan for Expressways In 1966, the Philadelphia City Planning Commission recommended construction of an expressway network for the city and immediate suburbs. Included were bypass routes to supplement radial routes such as the Schuylkill Expressway and the Delaware Expressway. (939 K)

DVPRC 1985 Adopted Freeway Plan In 1974, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission mapped out a network of existing and proposed expressways throughout Philadelphia and its suburbs. Find out which expressways were left unbuilt. (945 K)
